A football knowledge challenge, not a trivia quiz
There is no multiple-choice question sheet or countdown to name a mystery player. You play the same spin, pick and place draft as World XI, but without visible player attributes to rank the options for you. Names, positions and context help you decide. Knowledge of a player’s role can be more useful than simply recognizing a famous surname.
Think about the version in the prompt
A footballer’s club and era provide context for the choice. Consider where the player played, the role they performed and how that role fits your formation. The game uses historical contexts and modeled ratings; it is not a live form ranking or a test with one objectively correct XI. The strongest reputation does not automatically solve the next open slot.
Use positions when numbers are hidden
Track which places are still open before every selection. Fullbacks, central defenders and defensive midfielders are not the same job. A player with several natural positions can preserve options, while an early specialist can use the only suitable slot. Limited rerolls are still available, so inspect the pool before spending one.
Turn a result into a discussion
Complete the eleven picks to simulate a 38-match campaign, then compare the record and tactical report with your expectations. Share the finished team with a friend and discuss the picks you would change. The draft is single-player rather than a live head-to-head quiz, and simulation randomness means a single result is not a definitive measure of anyone’s football knowledge.
